I love me some HTV!

You're going to see a theme these next few days.
Vinyl, ornaments, heat transfer vinyl. Repeat.

I made my daughter a very special onesie for her 6 month picture.

I used Cricut HTV which you can buy at michaels or Joann or Cricut.com!

My Granny passed away long before I had my kids (or my cricut or theyd all have this onesie!)
and I loved this shirt and the meaning behind it.

This one was harder to make, because I have such fond memories of my granny and I just miss her so dang much some days. These kids tho- she lets me know she's here in them.

I also made the little porker wearing it! :-)

Until tomorrow,

A Christmas Wedding

My Father in law just recently got married the day before
Christmas eve.
It was a beautiful Christmas wedding.

I decided to make them a card (obviously)but I also made them a special little something to go with it.

Lets start with the card first.

I very recently learned how to use the writing feature on my cricut explore.
Oh. My. Gosh.

This totally changes things. My card game just STEPPED up.

The couple was a free SVG I found and its on gold shimmer paper.
Then I used my Cricut markers and wrote out what I wanted.
Bam. Done!

Take that, Hallmark! ;-)

I made them a sweet little ornament

"Our 1st Christmas
as
Mr. & Mrs."

too, with the year on the back

That bulb is plastic, because I needed a larger flat space and I couldn't find glass to fit.

Thanks for stopping by!

Well I didnt say WHICH tomorrow....

Shoot. Its December 31st.

I posted on December 1st with a life update and a promise of a post "tomorrow"...

Well, you know. Christmas. That's what I'm going to run with!

I am pleased to say that I *did* craft quite a bit this holiday, unlike last year! So I am going to share what I made over the next few days

(Thank you blogger for allowing me to write and schedule posts on one day!)

First Up!

I saved all of my kids hospital hats. I hate nic-naks and saving stuff- I guess I'm not like uber sentimental. I found Lily's hat in her headband basket. My crafty brain started rolling.

I thought "I can make an ornament out of this!"

and I did!

I used a jumbo bulb from Michaels (I think!) and did the glitter/floor wax technique. You can watch a video here. Ive always used pledge future shine- but it looks like the mop and glo works just fine! I cut the stitching of the top of the hat to fit the ornament topper through, and then I tied a white satin bow. I folded the hat slightly and used my ATG to glue around that rim. Her name was done using my cricut explore and pink (of course!) vinyl!

I'm so happy with how this came out, and its a precious keepsake without being a nic-nak I have to move around ;-)

Hope you enjoy and maybe it will inspire you!

xoxo

I'm backkkk!!!!

April 2015.... Wait, What?!

That was indeed the last time I blogged. Shame, Shame!

A LOT has changed since then, believe me!

Last April we bought a new house and moved in May. We went on a huge family vacation to Tennessee in between closing and moving- that was great! We had a busy busy summer. I found out I was losing my job in October and my last day was February 1st. We decided (Eric and I) that I was going to try the whole "stay at home mom" thing....

oh, and I had a BABY! Lily Marie graced us with her presence June 20, 2016. Our family is FULL and complete. Ive been crafting still, even if I haven't shared with all of my bloggy friends. I'm hopeful that now I can get on a regular crafting and blogging schedule and share my creations with all of you! Watch tomorrow for a post with some crafty goodness! :)

Easter Bunnies hopping to Kinder!

Nathan wanted to 'help' me make treats for his class for Easter.

We went to the store and he picked out all the candy we would use.

Then we came home and got to work stuffing the bags with Easter grass and all of
our fun Easter candy we found.

That was where my 'help' started and ended!
The little rabbit only filled one bag! He left the rest to me!

:-)

Heres what I came up with

We made 26 total- he wanted to be sure he had an extra for Mrs. Franklin and her son <3

I have lots of crafts to do this week- seems like its birthday season!

Thanks for stopping by!

22 Years Young!

My Baby Brother, Adam, just celebrated his 22nd Birthday!

Here we are on his BIRTH-day

I made his birthday card to look like the mascot at his school, Grizz!

The school colors are black and gold- not a color scheme I am used to, but I am happy with the end result!

He LOVED the card and knew I was going for Grizz right away!
Its hard to tell but the background paper is gold shimmer. The balloons are from create a critter cricut cartridge and the Bear is from Teddy Bear Parade. I will admit that I need some work with paper piecing my bears together, haha!

I used some totally black Trendy Twine and the stamp is Jaded Blossom.

Thanks for stopping by!

Another Birthday Wish!

So  I totally did it again....

 I haven't blogged since March 18th! Eeeek!

Well I haven't really crafted much, but I do have a few things to share this coming week.

I made this fairy card for my Mother in law on her Birthday!

I finally tried the 'Bokeh' technique that everyone is doing.
My review is that I am simply not patient enough for it.
Its pretty and ethereal, but it is also very messy and takes too long.

I used (my favorite) card mat dies from Jaded Blossom and stamps from
Sweet Stamp Shop. The sweet fairy is from A Childs First Year Cricut cartridge.
I sprayed the entire card with glimmer mist to make it sparkle!

Heres a few more views:

That's it for now, but I have more posts scheduled!
