when the minister asks.....

I recently told my aunt Billie Jo that Ive found saying no to Pastor is a lot like saying no to my Grandma.

It doesn't happen. Hahaha!

My mom and I helped this year at church with the hanging of the greens.

I made the door swags, and wreaths, and sashes.

It was a lot of work- fun work! I can also say theres no feeling like walking in to see what you've made displayed! :-)

Heres the sashes

each week, there was a different one hanging in the sanctuary to match with that weeks bulletin and sermon. Forgive the first one, I cannot sew. Huge thanks to Mrs. Bielinski, my friends mother in law for helping a girl out!

Cricut HTV fast became my friend over this holiday season!

I love me some HTV!

You're going to see a theme these next few days.
Vinyl, ornaments, heat transfer vinyl. Repeat.

I made my daughter a very special onesie for her 6 month picture.

I used Cricut HTV which you can buy at michaels or Joann or Cricut.com!

My Granny passed away long before I had my kids (or my cricut or theyd all have this onesie!)
and I loved this shirt and the meaning behind it.

This one was harder to make, because I have such fond memories of my granny and I just miss her so dang much some days. These kids tho- she lets me know she's here in them.

I also made the little porker wearing it! :-)

Until tomorrow,

Kathleen

A Christmas Wedding

My Father in law just recently got married the day before
Christmas eve.
It was a beautiful Christmas wedding.

I decided to make them a card (obviously)but I also made them a special little something to go with it.

Lets start with the card first.

I very recently learned how to use the writing feature on my cricut explore.
Oh. My. Gosh.

This totally changes things. My card game just STEPPED up.

The couple was a free SVG I found and its on gold shimmer paper.
Then I used my Cricut markers and wrote out what I wanted.
Bam. Done!

Take that, Hallmark! ;-)

I made them a sweet little ornament

"Our 1st Christmas
as
Mr. & Mrs."

too, with the year on the back

That bulb is plastic, because I needed a larger flat space and I couldn't find glass to fit.

Thanks for stopping by!
